Digital Screening

In most of the cases we start our work with a Digital Screening of 10 hours. During this time, we conduct digital research on your Dutch ancestors in various archives, libraries, and other (digital) sources. Although we cannot guarantee any specific results, we have had considerable success with our digital screenings. Read more

Digital Check

Sometimes individuals have already conducted extensive research on their own. However, our experience has shown that the information they have gathered is often incomplete or incorrect. In such cases, we offer a 10-hour Digital Check to review and supplement the information you have already collected. Read more

Search for Photos

Dutch Family Roots can also assist in searching for photos in historical photo banks. Most archives and historical institutes in the Netherlands have (digital) photo banks with millions of historical pictures from the Netherlands. Although most of them are copyrighted, there are also historical pictures in the public domain that are free to use. Read more

On-site research

Dutch Family Roots can also conduct on-site research in archives, libraries, and historical institutes throughout the Netherlands. Our office is conveniently located within cycling distance of several prominent archives in Amsterdam, including the City Archive of Amsterdam, the Dutch Institute for War, Holocaust and Genocide Studies (NIOD), the International Institute of Social History (IISG), and the Institute on Gender Equality and Women’s History (Atria). Read more
